Pleasant hill disc golf
Disc golfā¦ a game of trajectory and black magic lol. If you have never tried disc golf, then give it a try. Great way to get your steps in and hurl especially thick plastic serving dishes into a chain-link post. It actually requires skill; Tommy and I were on par (he did far better)ā¦ until lol. Until some random dude joined in and was like the Tiger Woods of disc golf. I kid you not, he reached down and grabbed a blade of grass, tossed it into the air to see which way the wind was blowing. Threw his shot, and it landed just a shy throw away from the goal post. Flaberglasted, a word not used often.
The Lobster Shack at Two Lights
Iām in the great state of Maine! Ask me if I thought Iād be here, and Iād tell you it wasn't on my bingo card lol. First stop was to this seasonal seafood place (apparently a lot of stuff here is seasonal); I really should have dived into the lobster, but I chickened out. The shore had this really interesting stone that looked just like tree wood, turns out it's phyllite mixed with quartzite. Excited to see what else Maine has in store.

Venezuela earthquake support
Itās hard to see the footage of the bodies and loss that is happening in Venezuela right now after the two earthquakes. It's heartbreaking to see families lost because of something so unforeseeable. We managed to round up some supplies and aid and are sending them over in the hope that they can provide some good. If possible, please donate to local organizations to help after this hard time.

I'm rereading Injustice: Gods Among Us, and this first book always gets me. Not only did he lose the love of his life, but also their unborn child. All through his hands, which triggered the destruction of Metropolis. I don't blame Superman for what he did; it's just the aftermath that's worth noting. Maybe I'll post more of my favorite panels from this comic. Super good read.

Our wetlands are on fire!
Turns out it happens more often than youād think, more so during the dry season. Little did we know the Everglades had been getting drier the last few years, and when that happens, a fire (which happens naturally from lightning strikes) can burn longer and hotter than usual. The most important part is trying to restore some of the wetlands to the Everglades. Organizations are working towards moving water stored areas back into these parts, but it is very uncommon to have such a long dry season like we have now. Take your bets now as to why that might be... š
