Castlevania: Nocturne
Let's go babyyyy! The new show looks hyped, and they have Richter in the show? Yooooooo this is hypeddddd! If you know anything about me, it's that one of my all-time favorite games is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This new show is based on Rondo of Blood (the one that came before SotN), so this MIGHT lead into it. So far, I am very excited. Meow meow.
Empathy vs sympathy
Let’s start with the definitions of each of the words:
Empathy: the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another.
Sympathy: a feeling or expression of sincere concern for someone who is experiencing something difficult or painful.
Sounds the same but is very different in practice. While anyone can feel sorry for someone (sympathy), not everyone will feel with said person/people (empathy). So a common example is pain: if someone gets hurt, a sympathetic person will see the pain, understand that it is bad, and apologize because the other person is going through it. In contrast, an empathic person will see that same pain and place themselves in that position to understand how difficult it would be to go through that pain.
The key difference here is understanding. One person says they're sorry; the other feels sorry.
It’s very important to understand why it matters because you want empathic people in your life. A vast majority of the people you meet will sympathize; the people who care will see the pain you go through and have a real reaction to your struggles. Know the difference.

The Iron Giant ❤️
The Coral Gables art cinema is truly the gift that keeps on giving. This is one of my favorite films, and to see it again in a theater is so lovely. Brought Ant-toe-knees to see it for the first time, as well as the other guaty known as David (bro, I better get back my supercon pass mofo). Feel like a kid again. Here’s hoping I get the chance to win this rad piece of art by Brian Reedy, fingers crossed!
Florida Supercon 2026
I’m gonna be honest here; I have no idea why I came lol. Had to be because I knew a guy who could get me in for next to nothing, but I came by myself. What's worse is I came with my camera thinking, “I’ll take some cool pics of some awesome cosplays.” Well, when the time came, I realized these were people, and Idk, it just felt personal to take a photo of someone I don’t know. So basically, I just walked around for a few hours with my camera and did nothing. My point is, I really loved this guy and his sign—the end.

Sometimes the most obvious feelings can be hard to concisely explain with so many words. Sometimes actions or effort vastly provide said impact towards that exact feeling. This trip wasn’t about going to Maine; I didn’t need to do any of this. This trip was about showing up and spending time with the people that matter to me and letting them know I care. It’s in the jokes, the sunburns, the hugs, the late-night game-night drinking, the Walmart trips, the subtle feeling of peace around people that no words need. With that said. Thank you, Tommy and Drea, for allowing me to join your family for the few days I did. It’ll always mean so much to me. Thank you.
Old Orchard Pier
I’ve been to many Florida beaches, and never have I ever been to a beach with so many lively people. I’m talking about: sandcastles, people metal detecting, frisbee (not to be confused with disc golf), paddleboarding, reading books, seashell hunting, and those are a few of the activities I witnessed. It almost felt like it was from a movie lol. Also, turns out I do tan… but ya boy also burns. Cold weather (the water was fucking cold!) should not be a reason not to apply sunscreen, Andy. Fun times, RIP skin.
